| Discography About the Album "De Mil Maneras..."
Mari Carrera releases her first album; "De Mil Maneras..." under the record label TH-RODVEN in the very innovative style of Techno-Merengue. Eight of the songs were written specially for her by the talented team of Cuban-Mexican composers Oscar y Malli Valdes. It also includes "Que La Sangre No Llegue al Río" a cover from the interpreter and Argentinean songwriter Paz Martinez, and "Olé-Olé-Oléi-Lo-Lái" from the famous Panama singer and composer Pedro Azael who wrote the song especially for Mari. The Album contains the original version of the Techno-Merengue Rap "Hecha y Derecha". Both, the Rap "Hecha y Derecha (Oscar & Malli Valdez) and her version of "Que La Sangre No Llegue al Río" (Paz Martinez) made the top ten charts of the Hispanic US and Puerto Rico. Going from one extreme to the other, Mari has songs that go from innocent and juvenile: "Ese Chico de los Ojos Negros", jealousies in "Júramelo por Dios, flirty in "Devanendo, Titubeando", to sexy with the title song: "De Mil Maneras…" where she explicitly shares her intimate desires towards the man she loves.
About the Single "Hecha y Derecha" REMIX
The Rap, "Hecha y Derecha", ended up being a total phenomenon because the youth really identified themselves with it. It tells the details of one day in the life of a young woman who works, go to school at night, and demands her parents to trust her. Mari shows her abilities as an announcer by speaking at great speed with perfect diction. Unlike most Raps that came out during the Nineties, "Hecha y Derecha" states a positive message: "NO TO DRUGS AND ALCOHOL, YES TO EDUCATION AND MORALS. The Remix of Hecha y Derecha, was released by TH-RODVEN as a single and made the top charts in the Hipanic Hit Parade in the United Sates. This single also includes "Flores Secas", where she expresses her sadness when the love dies. About the Album "Contigo"

On her second album "Contigo", Mari searches for her Mexican roots by including Mexican style Ballads and Boleros that allow her to show her extensive vocal range and her profound feelings. She was lucky enough to work with the very famous and talented Director Pepe Mota who had produced big stars in his native Argentina, Latinamerica, Spain and Mexico. Once again, Mari includes two songs composed especially for her by Oscar & Malli Valdez: "Me Voy de Tí" and the title song "Contigo". Mari delights us with her intrerpretation of Chico Novaro’s Bolero: "Algo Contigo" and with her personal version of Juan Gabriel’s song "Te Quiero Tanto". From Pepe Mota she included two songs: "Desde que tu te Fuiste" and "Corazón Celoso", and also the covers "Yo Pago y me Voy" and "Solo Piensa en Mí". With this record, Mari Carrera manifests her fresh and clear vocal style and the variety of her songs with ballads and boleros from the heart! | |
